An interrogative element is a form of question about the social identity of a human being. We are always trying to create our identity, depending on some objects like a dress. And we are creating the identity as, what is the male dress? Or what is the female dress? I am questioning that social phenomenon.
Void space inside the work helps create curiosity about this element. So this artwork would build a sense of the transformation of social knowledge to a form of a question. And the material also helps: papier mache has a transformation quality.

The soul of the cold places of the Earth, where Snow can hurt your hands, and the Sun every day deceives you with bright light, making you think that it has become warmer.

The 'Sensation of Absence' was created by altering a form of the real object: constructed by geometrical forms and transformative material. It is a process of translation from my unconsciousness to materialize the world.

Ritual introduces an alternative fragile relationship with the world. The character, dressed in a gentle protective suit moves slowly in an empty field surrounded by vertical branch drawings that remind of human figures and archaic structures. She adapts and nurtures an alternative society that has the potential to become a forest. By performing rituals she shapes her new relationship with the environment. Performed by Elia Claessen. Music developed by Suzan Peeters.
